When you are busy online shopping, it’s important to remember that prices change and are not fixed.
There are third-party websites that were created to track price changes on major retailers’ web stores.
On top of the price changes, you need to be mindful of any available coupons or promotional codes that will make your order cheaper. Typically most online stores will have at least a 10% off coupon code floating around on the internet. While 10% isn’t an obscene amount of money, it’s not insignificant, especially if you were planning on making the order without the coupon in the first place. And now that more stores than ever before are offering online ordering systems for in-store pickups, it’s smart to always look for coupons and promo codes. Even my favorite pharmacy and drug store has an online store that features updated inventory of each physical store, you just have to input your zip code to find ones in your area. But you’d expect this to be unique to chain stores and businesses, but some locally owned businesses are doing the same thing to compete. I source all of my steel rebar from this one particular construction wholesaler just because one day I found a promo code online for their products. After going to their website, I was shocked to see an online store for making in-store pickups in person. Then when I found the promo code on a search engine, I managed to get a coil of galvanized steel rebar for 25% less than the list price. Now I always use promo codes when I’m making orders for new coils of rebar.
