We put plastic coated rebar tie wire in our garden.

For the longest time, my husband and I have been looking for something to put around our garden to keep the rabbits and groundhogs out.

In our area, rabbits, groundhogs, and deer are the most infamous for breaking into the garden and eating everything down to the roots.

Not even my flowers are safe from these animals. My husband swore he was going to find something that would at least keep the rabbits and groundhogs out, even if we couldn’t do anything about the deer. He was looking at plastic coated rebar tie wire to put around the gardens. He figured if it was strong enough to hold up to concrete and other items, it should be strong enough to hold up to rabbits and groundhogs. We went to town and bought a roll of plastic coated rebar tie wire. I have a feeling it was a bit more expensive than what my husband originally hoped for, but we had a lot of money tied up in vegetable plants and seeds, and flower plants and seeds. I really hope that once we put the plastic coated rebar tie wire around our garden, we will be able to save our tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, and peas. If the rabbits and groundhogs can get into the garden with all that plastic coated rebar tie wire around it, then we give up. Apparently they want our flowers and vegetables more than we do. We’re still not sure how to deal with the deer. They have already eaten my blueberry bushes and strawberries, and frankly, I am tired of sharing with them.
